Good News Crayons
This product uses both the box and the crayons to
help give the plan of salvation to a child.
The crayons were designed with the idea of conveying information
similar to that which would be given using the Wordless Book.
There are five crayons in the box; gold, black, red, white, and
green. Each of these crayons
has a verse reference written on the crayon wrapper and the idea of what
the color represents as well as a phrase to help talk about that idea.
For instance, the gold crayon has "Heaven" written on the
wrapper and the reference "John 3:16a".
It also has on it the phrase "God loves you and wants you to
be in Heaven with Him someday."
This crayon is used by asking the child of what the color reminds
them. When they say gold, you are able to tell them of the gold
streets in heaven and that John 3:16a says "For God so loved the
world, that he gave His only begotten Son…" and that this means God
loves them and wants them to be able to join Him in heaven someday.
You can have the child draw a golden street of heaven to help them
remember.
We next go to the black or "dark" crayon.
This crayon has "Dark with Sin" written on it to remind
us that we are all sinners and references the verse "Romans
3:23". The verse
reference allows you to talk about sin and that it keeps us out of heaven.
The red crayon represents Jesus' shed blood and says
on the crayon "Jesus gave his blood for you". The reference associated with this is "1 Corinthians
15:3b & 4". You are
able to explain, using this crayon, that Jesus paid the penalty for our
sins when He shed His blood for us on the cross, died
and then rose again.
The white or "clean" crayon has "Clean
Heart" written on it. It
references "John 1:12" and says that we can become a child of
God - It's as easy as A B C. This
is a lead-in to the panel on the back of the crayon box which has the ABC
plan of salvation written in it.
Last is the green crayon that has "Grow in Jesus"
written on the wrapper. It
references “2 Peter 3:18a” and has written on it "God will help
us to grow." This crayon
is used after a child accepts Christ as their personal Savior and lets
them know that they are to grow in His Word and to get to know Him better.
With the use of each crayon, you can have the child
draw something on a blank piece of paper.
This will help enforce what is being told. To better help a child understand, you can use The
Good News Coloring Book as an additional aid.
On the back of each box is an 1" by 1-1/2"
area for inserting the name of your church or organization.
The Good New Crayons are completely safe for
children. They are certified
non-toxic and are manufactured by a well-known US manufacturer of
children’s crayons. They are high quality crayons and I believe you will be
pleased with their performance.

The Good News Coloring Book uses the same color theme
as the Good News Crayons. There
are two pages associated with each color and they reference the same
verses as the crayons. There
is text written on each page and a picture to emphasize the particular
point in the plan of salvation that is being conveyed.
One of the two pages has a specific item that is to be colored
with either the gold, black, red, white or green crayon.
For instance, the pages using the gold crayon asks the child to
color the street in heaven with the gold crayon.
After the pages associated with the white color, there
is a "Stop Sign" page where the child is asked to decide to pray and accept
Jesus "into his heart". You
can use other words such as accept Jesus into his life or similar, but it
marks where that decision needs to be made.
After the decision, the child goes to the green page where he or
she is then told that they are to "grow" in Christ.
Once you have gone through each of the pages and had
the child color the item specified for that color, the child can
take the coloring book home to complete the coloring of each of the pages.
This will allow him or her to again read the plan of salvation and
maybe share it with their brothers, sisters, friends, or even their
parents.
Four additional pages are included (making a total of
16 pages) that use the acronym G.R.O.W. to represent Go to church,
Read God's Word, Obey, and Witness. There
is a coloring page for each of these and a verse associated with each.
The last page in the coloring book is for the child
to add his or her name and date of the day they accepted Christ as their
personal Savior.
On the back of the coloring book is a 2" by
3" white block area for your church or organization to be stamped.
When used with the Good News Crayons, the
combination makes an excellent way to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
using color. The book will
help keep the child's attention by doing, reading, looking, and listening
to the person explaining. By this the child may better be able to
understand the plan of salvation and truly receive Jesus Christ.
