Eleuthera Missions Trip 2001

Eleuthera missions trip - select to see full size.

"I recently spent ten days on a missions trip to an island called Eleuthera. My team was a construction team but we also did a VBS for the local children in the evenings. For the arts and crafts activity on the last day of the VBS we walked the children through the coloring books page by page. It was through this process that one of the girls received Christ as her Savior. What she had seen and heard in our team all week became clear to her through the use of the coloring books and crayons. All of the children were especially excited when we told them that the books and crayons were theirs to keep. God really used these books as a dynamic part of our ministry to the children."
Gretchen Bigley, Cedarville, OH

"A child in our club raised his hand indicating he wanted to trust Christ as Savior.  I started counseling him using the Bible, but I wasn't sure he was understanding.  At that point, I got one of the Five Colors coloring books.  With the pictures and scriptures he really got involved and you could see that he was comprehending the Gospel.  He accepted Christ as his Savior that evening!"
Karen Lytle, Calvary Baptist Church, Altoona, PA

The Good News Crayons and Coloring Books are so simple to use and easy to understand.  We took our four-year-old son to the library, where they did not have any crayons to use.  My son volunteered to leave a box of Good News Crayons with the librarian, but she declined his offer.  He replied, "But these are special crayons; each color means something!"  He promptly pulled the crayons from the box and described what each color represents.  She thanked him and he asked once more if she'd like to keep them, to which she replied, "Yes, I sure would!"  Now she will have a reminder of our visit and the plan of salvation "at her fingertips"!
